Ruby opened a lifestyle coaching business in rural southern Monterey County. Esperanza Coaching offers confidential, no judgment Holistic Healing through various methodologies including Life & Spiritual Coaching, Energy, and Angel Work. Esperanza Coaching is also available to anyone in the world through virtual services.
Ruby wants to share her healing experiences through coaching and energy healing to help empower and heal the collective from emotional, physical, and energetic blockages while helping raise the overall vibrational state to Love and Light. Her intentions to facilitate these services came after years of witnessing and experiencing the need for preventative and present-day healing services. Having worked in the public sector for over 15 years in roles such as Social Work, Education, Therapeutic Services, Management and more, as well as her own healing journey, she witnessed firsthand the demand for holistic services.
When Ruby first contacted the SBDC in 2021, she needed assistance in setting up her business and creating a business plan. After a few initial sessions to get started, she proceeded with her fledgling business. Ruby recontacted the SBDC in early 2023 for marketing guidance to increase her visibility and involvement in the community.
Cal Coastal SBDC provided Ruby with 7 hours of consulting focused on business planning guidance to get her business started and encouraged her to get more involved with community groups, such as the Salinas Valley Young Professionals, to raise awareness of her business and services. She not only joined the Salinas Valley Young Professionals, but now serves as their Vice President.
Ruby invested her own money to start a new business in a rural area, created 1 full-time job and launched her presence into community activities that not only contribute to the community well-being, but raises the visibility of her business for prospective clients at the same time.
What did the owner feel was the most important part of the assistance received?
"I am most grateful for the 1-1 consultations I received from both of my SBDC mentors. Their time, attention, and passion for helping me succeed was evident by their guidance and timely responses to my questions. Additionally, they supported in linking me to various resources and opportunities to raise my confidence as well as visibility within the local and national community."
