ArtWorks Collaboration Space Open House

The Arts Council is opening a new ArtWorks location at 262 Main Street in Downtown Salinas. ArtWorks is similar to a "co-working" space, which encourages collaboration and community, and fills the need for affordable studio space for Monterey County artists. ArtWorks @Salinas will have an art gallery and seven small studio spaces for artists to sublease at an affordable rent, which includes all utilities, wifi and marketing.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Sept 1st to coincide with the Salinas First Friday.

Art Works plans to feature local artists in the display windows for two months at a time, starting with Jose Ortiz of Hijos del Sol Arts in September.
